| PROJECTS |
Students of Class II had a project display on ‘Means of Transport’ on 19th February, 2010 wherein students displayed vehicles of water ways, land ways and Air ways. A thorough insight on the type of vehicles used in desert region, mountains, plains etc. was given to the students.
Students of Jr. K.G. enjoyed ‘Food Day’ on 8th January, 2010. Students brought home made cooked food and shared with their peer group. |
| FIELD TRIPS |
Students of Class VII visited the ‘Coin Museum’ on 8th January, 2010. They saw a unique collection of coins. It also provided a detailed scenario of the cultural history.
Students of Class III visited a ‘Farm’ in Bhaily on 9th January, 2010. They were happy to be close to nature. They saw plenty of fresh green chilies, tomatoes, lemon etc. It was a memorable experience for them.
Students of Class IV and V visited the museum on 13th January and 19th January, 2010 respectively at Sayajibaug. They saw a unique collection of birds, mammals, reptiles, skeleton of Blue Whale, history of kings etc.
Students of Playgroup visited ‘D Mart’ on 19th January, 2010. They were amazed to see the different items. They saw different sections of grocery items, packed foods, clothes, stationery items etc.
Students of Class VIII visited the archeology department at the M.S. University on 20th January, 2010 wherein they learnt about the life of Buddha, his preaching and saw the ashes of Lord Buddha displayed in the exhibition.
Students of Sr.KG visited Marble Factory, Saw Mill and Akota Garden on 19th February, 2010.
Students of Jr. KG visited the Bike Showroom on Old Padra Road on 22nd February, 2010. They saw different models of Bike of different shapes and color.
Students of Class II visited Race Course Post Office on 23rd and 24th February, 2010. The students saw different sections of the post office and understood the services provided by them and procedures involved in sending letters to their destination.
Students of Class I visited Airport on 25th February, 2010. They saw different counters on the Airport. They were thrilled to see the take off and landing of the aeroplanes |
| EVENTS/ CELEBRATIONS / FUNCTIONS |
The school celebrated its Annual Sports Meet on 23rd January, 2010. Students participated in the march fast, dumbbells, hoop drill, yoga, malkhamb and track events. The Chief Guest was Shri Maulin Vaishnav, President of Bank of Baroda.
The students of Class I and II staged an interesting Annual Program, on the theme ‘Values of Life’. They danced to the tunes of their favourite songs. Their expression really delighted everyone.
The students of KG Section celebrated ‘Kite Flying Day’ on 12th January, 2010. Students flew colorful kites and enjoyed munching the groundnut chikkis.

| TEACHER’S ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME : |
Ms Ibem Shepherd attended a workshop on 12th January, 2010. The topic was ‘Effective English Language Teaching’ conducted by Dr. G. Rajgopal, Professor, Department of ESL, Ahmedabad. The key areas of the workshop were oral communication, grammar and written communication.
Ms. Priya Mishra attended a workshop on 18th January, 2010 organized by Delhi Public School. The workshop covered key aspects of teaching Hindi easily, grammar and assessment. |
