Students of Std VIII celebrated World Heritage Day on 18th April’11. They staged a drama in the assembly with a message to preserve our heritage monuments.

Students of Std VII wrote dialogues for a skit ‘Three questions’ and staged the same on 4th May’11.
|
|
On 22nd June, 2011 Sr. KG. children shared their family album with their classmates.
|
|
On 29th June Sr. KG. children were introduced to the 5 senses through games and experiments. Different objects related to senses were displayed in each class. Children were given hands on experience. |
On 6th July, 2011 Jr. KG. children celebrated colours day. They were dressed in primary and secondary colour clothes. They brought objects and things related to different colours which were displayed in different classes.

On 13th July, 2011 Sr. KG. children were introduced to homes of animals through display- pet, domestic, wild and water.

| FIELD TRIP |
|
Std II went for a field trip on 19th April’11. They enjoyed their ‘City ride’ with their friends and saw the important places and monuments of Vadodara |
|
Std III went to ‘Birds Aviary’ on 20th April’11. They were happy to see their feathered friends and learnt many facts about them. |
|
Std II went for a field trip to Nursery on 21st April’11. Varieties of plants were shown to them. |
|
Std VIII & IX went for a field trip to Agriculture university of M.S.U. They saw instruments that helped to clean the food grains after harvesting. They learnt about various agricultural implements and their uses. |
Std VII and V went on a field trip to crossword on 29th April’11 and 2nd May’11. They liked & enjoyed children’s section.

Std III went for a field trip on 30th April’11 to Bhaili Village. They enjoyed the quietness of village life. |
Std I & IV went to ‘Spencer’ mall on 21st & 24th June’11. The variety of goods in mall gave them excitement. Std IV learnt about nutritional value of the different product printed on the packets.

Std VI went to Department of Archeology, MSU and had a touch of history and geology. They visited museum too. |

| OPENING DAYS |
|
On 13th June, 2011 Sr. KG. children were back to school with enthusiasm.

On 14th June, 2011 Jr. KG. children were welcomed with welcome cards and gifts.
|
|
On 22nd June, 2011 Playgroup children were welcomed by Sr. KG. children who were dressed in costumes of different animals and Zoo-Zoo characters. |

ORIENTATAION

On 30th June’11 and 1st July’11 there was CCE orientation meeting with Ms. Rupa Sarma for the parents of Std VI to IX.

EVENTS CELEBRATIONS

On 16th June, 2011, a puppet show was organized by the teachers for children on rhymes and songs.
Investiture Ceremony was held on 9th July’11. The elected members of the student’s union Council took pledge and were given sashes and badges. Madam Ratna Saha the Principal of GSEB board was the Chief Guest.
On 12th July health and hygiene programme for mother and daughter was organized by Procter and Gamble for class VI to VIII. |

Enhancement and Enrichment Program for KG. Teachers for the Academic Year 2011-12

On 5th May, 2011 workshop was conducted to update the curriculum. New games and activities were included such as pin the tail of the donkey, twister, etc.

On 11th June, 2011 teachers evaluated and graded their performances on the given check list and parameters. |
|
On 9th July, 2011 to inculcate moral values among children, teachers planned and suggested new and innovative songs, rhymes and stories on the topic friendship. |
