Following winners participated in Gujarat State Judo Championship for sub junior held at Ahemdabad on 24/07/10

Kosha Desai of class X received a bronze medal in Long Jump in the 22nd West Zone Junior Athletics Championships held at Bhopal organised by Athletics Federation of India. Six states participated in this Athletics Meet. Fagun Patel of class IX received two gold medals in the event Kata and Kumite in the Gujarat state Independence Karate championship 2010 organised by Wadoryu Karate do Federation of India and Shitoryu Karate do Association of Gujarat.
Master Devesh Sawant and Master Sarthak Bisoi of class IX bagged the 1st prize in ‘Inter School Environment Quiz Competition’ on 17thJuly’10.
Sangnya Patel of Class VI – A stood second in the Elocution Competition organized by Nalanda International School on 28th August’10. She received a gift voucher of Rs.500/- from Crossword.
Bright Day School, CBSE Vasna Unit and Harni Unit participated in Regional Level CBSE exhibition held at Mayoor School, Ajmer on 3rd & 4th September’2010.
The models were ‘The Surrogate Power Supplier’, ‘The Flawless Friction’, and ‘GIS – Farmer’s friend’. All the 3 models have been selected for the National Round.
The participants of the projects were Chinmay Deshpande, Hetan Shah, Nadeer Hashmi, Jeel Shah, Harsh Champanerya and Ekta Panchal.
43 Schools from Rajasthan and Gujarat exhibited 67 models on different science related topics.
Bright family congratulates all the participants and conveys its best wishes for the National Round.

| PROJECTS |
|
A talk on Growing up, heath and hygiene for girls of class VI to VIII was conducted on 20th July’10. This programme focused on way to cope with behavioural and physical changes they undergo. |
|
Jr. KG and Sr. KG had a project on the topic ‘My Family’ on 29th July’10 wherein students of Jr. KG had role play on different songs and students of Sr. KG brought their family photographs and shared about them.
Inter class quiz was conducted on 27th July’10 for Sr. KG. The topic was ‘My Body and cleanliness’. Certificates and prizes were given to the participants. Students of Jr. KG collected objects used for cleanliness and the same was displayed in their class. |

On 5th August’10 students of KG section enjoyed walking in rain with their friends with colourful umbrella and raincoats. Based on the topic ‘Rainy Season and water’ students experimented with different objects sinking and floating in water. |

|
Playgroup celebrated ‘Colour Day’ on 12th Augu’10. The students came in specified colour dress and brought different objects related to the same colour from home which were displayed in the class. |

Gauri Vrat was celebrated on 23rd July’10 wherein the girls doing fast came in coloured dress, they offered prayer to God. |

Independence Day’ was celebrated on 15th August’2010 by Bright Day School, Vasna Unit with great fervour. Jt. Director Shri. Saumil Shah unfurled the National Flag. The Principal, staff and students ushered in the spirit of independence through a patriotic song, “Lakshya na ozal hone paye kadam mila kar chal”, a dance titled ‘Jai Hind – Bharat Ko Ek Salam’, and speeches. The speeches focused on the duties and responsibilities of the students towards their family, school, community and country. |

On 21st August’10 special activity and display was organized for parents of KG Section. The topic was ‘understanding our curriculum through activities’. Different teaching aids, books, self learning kits, charts etc was displayed based on language, number and creative activities. Teachers from other schools also attended this session.
Managing trustee Shri. Simitbhail Shah and Director Shri. Jayendra Shah graced the occasion.

On 15th September’10 on account of Ganesh Visarjan, the lard was seen off in style with the clasping of lezims and beating of drums to the loud cries of ‘Ganpati Bapa Moriya’ followed by colourdul procession. All the students and teacher came in orange coloured dress. |
|
|
Rakshabandhan was celebrated on 23rd August’10. Students of KG section came in party dress. The girls enjoyed tying rakhis to the boy. The teachers tied rakhis to all the male staff members including the teaching and non teaching staff. |
|
- Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety on 1st September’10. Teachers and students of KG section participated in ‘Krishna Leela’ depicting the different episodes of birth of Krishna, Kans prakop, Nag daman etc.

| Field Trips |
|
Students of class VI visited the Archaeology department at M.S. University on 2nd and 3rd August’10. The students saw the displays in the museum on the craft and technology of Indus-Saraswati civilization. |
|
|
Students of class VIII visited laxmi Vilas Palace on 9th August’10. They saw the unique collection of weapons, clothes, books. It also provided a detailed scenario of the cultural history. |
|

Students of class X – B visited Radio Mirchi. |
Students of class V visited Baroda Dairy. They saw the process of pasteurization, packing, etc. They also relished the flavoured milk. |
In our Indian culture we start the day with prayer to teach children how to pray and whom do we pray. The students of classes I and II visited different places of worship like Iskon Temple and Methodist Church on July 27th and 28th. |
Kids love colours and as they grow they relate colours with different objects and designs. To give them a clear-cut vision, how different designs on the clothes get the pretty colours. We took them to Home Science, Clothing and Textile department on August 12th and 13th. They came back happily with the handkerchief prettily designed by themselves. |
