Ms. Pari Khan of V – A is the only recipient from India to bag a prize in the XII International Art Contest for children and youth for successful creative work entered in the 39th year of the International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts organized by the ministry of Czech Republic. |

Shikha Singh and Chirag Malani represented Bright at the National level CBSE Science Exhibition. Their project ‘ArsMathematica’ was adjudged amongst the top twenty model projects of India and was the only model to be selected from Gujarat.The same model was invited by NCERT to be exhibited at the 38th Jawaharlal Nehru Science & Environmental Exhibition at Patna. Bright has added another feather to its cap as the very same model was selected by Indian Science Congress to participate at KIIT Bhubaneshwar. |

| CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITY |
On 13th of October, children of Playgroup and Sr. KG. showcased their talents in the ‘Rhymes Day’. It was a 100% participation by playgroup children, that is, around 125 children performed on different rhymes and songs, on the stage. Importance of singing rhymes and songs were explained to the parents during the program.
A talk on ‘Endangered Species’ was organized for students of class III on 3rd February. Mr. Vishal Thakur enlightened the students on the ways to protect the endangered species.

Diwali was celebrated on 18th of October. A special power point presentation was prepared on the story of Ram Leela. Jr. KG. and Sr. KG. children performed dances on various Diwali and vacation songs. |

Christmas was celebrated on 23rd December’11 by the students of KG Section. Children enjoyed listening and watching the story of Lord Jesus Christ’s birth dramatized by the teachers, along with the dance performances by the children. |

Students of classes III to XI celebrated their Annual Concert ‘Abhivyakti’ on 10th December’2011 at Sir Sayajirao Gruh. Students of III to XI will staged dances and drama which reflected their talent and potential. Dr. Parul Shah (Ex. Dean Faculty of Performing Arts, M.S. University of Vadodara) and Dr. Kalhans Patel (Educationist) graced the occasion. It was a memorable moment for the prize winners of International and National level, Ideal Students and Academicians as they were felicitated in the presence of their parents and guests. |

On 12th of January 2012, KG. Section celebrated the festival of Makarsankranti along with the teachers and non teaching staff by flying beautiful kites. |

“7th Annual Sports Meet” was organized on 24th January’12. Students actively participated in various sports events like running, Zig Zag Race, Slow cycling etc. |

Republic Day’ was celebrated on 26th January’2012 by Bright Day School, Vasna Unit with great fervour and enthusiasm. Shri J.K. Bhatt, D.I.G.P. Vadodara Range unfurled the National Flag. There was a magnificent display wherein the students participated actively in Aerobics, Malkhamb, Leziums, Pyramids, Lathi Dav and Motivational Song. The celebration included March Past by the students of various houses on the thrilling tunes played by the Bright band. The spectators were zapped by the dazzling show put up by the Malkhamb participants. These moments will be long cherished. |

| On 25th of January 2012, KG. section celebrated Republic Day by singing and dancing on patriotic songs. |
| Fun day was celebrated by KG section for 3 days from 31.1.12 to 2.2.12 around 500 children participated in drills and events. Around 1000 parents enjoyed the shows. |

Students of classes I & II celebrated their Annual Concert ‘Fantasia’ on 4th February’12 at Kusum Memorial Auditorium. Students presented dance and drama which reflected their talent and potential. Prize winners were felicitated by the Director of the school Shri Jayendrabhai Shah and Jt. Director Shri Saumilbhai Shah, in the presence of their parents. |

| PROJECTS |
On 7th December’11 students of Jr. KG. brought and relished different types of salad vegetables and celebrated Salad Day.
Fruit Chat Day was celebrated by students of Playgroup on 14th December’11. Children brought and relished different types of fruits.
Sr. KG. children celebrated Vegetable Day on 21st December. They brought cooked vegetable in their tiffins and shared with their friends.
Toy day was celebrated by Playgroup on 8.1.12 classes was full of different toys which brought smiles on their faces.
On 18th of January 2012, vehicle day was celebrated by playgroup and they brought different types of vehicles and talked about it and celebrated vehicle day. |
On 12th, 13th and 14th December’11 Playgroup and Jr. KG. children enjoyed their trip to the farm and gathered lots of information on different types of vegetables.
On 16 th and 17th of December, Sr. KG. children went to the farm and enhanced their knowledge about different types of plants, trees, vegetables and leaves. |
