In the ‘Khel Mahakumbh’ organized as part of the ‘Swarnim Gujarat’ celebrations two of our students gave an outstanding performance at the State Level.

• • Nidhi S. More of Std 8 won a Gold Medal in wrestling held at Ahmedabad.
• • Abhishek R. Sharma received a Silver Medal in Judo, held at Ahmedabad. He also won a Gold    Medal in Judo at State Level in the School Games. He then represented Gujarat at the National    Level at Delhi.
• Kunal S. Agrawal bagged a Gold Medal in Judo at the State level in the Federation Games. He then represented Gujarat at the National Level at Bengaluru.

Students of Std. V visited Sayajibaug museum. The trip was informative and educative.

 

They saw many things like old coins, clothes worn by kings and queens, different types of turbans, instruments etc. The centre of attraction was the huge skeleton of a whale.

 

Students of Std VII visited the Coin Museum at Ajwa. They saw the ‘treasure’ of all kinds of coins – copper, steel etc. dating back to Akbar and Alexander’s period. It was an enriching experience.

K. G. SECTION FUNDAY 2010-2011

 

The K. G. Section celebrated Funday from 29-12-2010 to 31-12-2010. With 100% participation, the chidren enjoyed doing different steps to music. Colourful props added extra vibrancy to their drill.

 

Different games were planned for both children and their parents. They all participated enthusiastically and made the Funday an enjoyable experience.

The students of Std IX and XI gave a farewell to the students of X and XII, on the 22nd of January 2011.

 

The programme started with a farewell speech by Ms. Seema Nair, the class teacher of Std. II, in which she exhorted the outgoing students to be true to themselves and have confidence in themselves, so as to excel in their chosen careers.

The students of std IX and XI entertained the audience with songs and dances. The students of X and XII also spoke about their experiences in the school in all these years. They also expressed their gratitude to their teachers who were responsible for making them what they are.

The Annual Sports Meet for the year 2010-2011 was held on 24th January 2011. The Sports Meet was declared open by the Chief Guest Mr. Shabdsharan Brahmbhatt, who is the chairman of the standing committee, VMC. The guest of honour was Dr. Vijay Shah, Chairman of Indu Blood Bank. Students exhibited their concentration, precision and body control as they performed the Anand Tandav, Yoga, Karate & Judo in perfect synchrony.

 

The winners of the various sport events were awarded medals for their achievements, by the Jt. Director Shri Saumil Shah. To commemorate the completion of a glorious decade the school had also organized a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ in association with Indu Blood Bank. The parents turned out in large numbers to donate blood. Many teachers too donated blood.
