The academic session 2010-2011 started on 14th June 2010 ; for the Primary and Secondary sections. The classes in KG sections started on different dates, starting with Sr. KG, followed by Jr. KG & then Play group.

There were Orientation Meetings held for parents of different classes, to acquaint them with our rules, regulations and expectations.

There was an Induction Programme for new teachers on 30/6/10, wherein the Principal         Mrs. Ratna Saha apprised the new teachers of the systems followed in our school as regards to academic and non-academic.

The Student Union Elections 2010-2011, were held on 9th July, 2010, in Bright Day School, Vasna unit. The students exercised their votes and thus learnt the first step of democracy. The concept of Universal Adult Franchise reinforced the concept of equality which is the underlying principle in India. The elections were conducted strictly in accordance with the norms of democracy. Students elected their representatives using electronic medium.

Derek O’ Brien and Associates conducted an intra school programme ‘ Cadbury’s Bournvita Confident India’ organized by Cadbury’s Bournvita on 12th July 2010 in Bright Day School, Vasna Unit. The students of std. III to VIII participated . The rounds highlighted the confidence of the students, thus encouraging students to be creative, more generally aware and more confident.

Family Day Jr. KG :- Students of Jr. KG had a colorful day on 14th July 2010, when they turned up dressed as different members of a family. So, we had mamas and papas and grandmas and grandpas in abundance! The class teachers introduced them and the classes had a discussion on the different members in a family.

A Programme ‘Growing up, Health and Hygiene’ was conducted by Procter & Gamble Ltd. On 15/07/2010. It was an interactive session conducted for mothers and daughters. They got acquainted with physical and behavioral changes that take place in adolescent girls. The programme helped the girls understand puberty and its related issues in a very simple & easy manner, and it also gave the mothers an insight into the psyche of their daughter.
