Children celebrated Christmas on 23rd December. Santa distributed caps and chocolates. Children enjoyed dancing with Santa. Each child prepared a Christmas Card for the parents.

Sports is very important for the physical and mental growth and development of children. Keeping this in mind “Fun Day” was celebrated by Sr.KG. kids.It started with a colourful drill with different props like rings, ribbons and umbrellas. Children enjoyed playing different games. Parents also enjoyed playing games and were thrilled and excited to win the prizes.

Children enjoyed kite flying on 12.01.2012. The sky was filled with colourful kites and balloons. Children looked smart with their caps and sun- glasses. They enjoyed eating “chikkis”.

We live in a colourful world. Different colours were displayed with related objects. The children explained the concept of colour. Mixing of primary and secondary colours were explained by experiments. |

Children enjoyed the picnic at ‘Headgaver Garden’ at Sama Road. They enjoyed playing in different rides like slides, jungle gym, swings and see-saw. They also enjoyed eating cup cakes and snacks. They had a wonderful day.

| FIELD TRIPS & PICNIC |
Students of Std. I to III enjoyed picnic at ‘Ajwa Fun World’. They were thrilled to sit on the rides and enjoyed every moment of it. They relished the sumptuous lunch.
Students of Std. IV & V enjoyed picnic at ‘Dharmaj- Surajba Park’. They enjoyed seeing the nature closely in the garden. They relished the sumptuous lunch.
Students of IX to XI visited Jhand Hanuman and Champaner Fort. Students visited Jhand Hanuman Temple with full denotation and they offered their prayers. They also got opportunity to see Heritage sight at Champaner. |
| CELEBRATION : |
Prof. C. V. Ramakrishnan : (Father of the Nobel Laureate Dr. Venkatraman) visited Bright Day School, CBSE Unit-Harni, in the month of December and interacted with the students of Std. VIII to XIII and staff.

100 Years Jana Gana Mana : The year 2011 marks the centenary year of our prestigious National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. Bright Day School CBSE Unit Harni celebrated 100 years of National Anthem. The students forged the figure of 100. They sang the original version of (five stanzas). It reflected the spirit and power of India’s diversity in unity. The school vibrated with zeal of patriotisam.

| ANNUAL DAY PROGRAMME : |
- Bright Day School, CBSE Harni Unit celebrated Annual Day - »ÔâsÑöãÈ at Sayajirao Nagar Gruh. Shri Markand Bhatt Ex-dean of Department of Performing Arts and Music College, M. S. University presided over the function. The winners of various competitions at International, National and State level were felicitated by the Guest. The rhythm of Indian, western folk music and dance added the aura of harmonious flavour.
- The Annual programme began with Ganesh Stuti followed by various cultural dances like Geet Govind, Bhangra etc. The students paid tribute to Shri Bhupen Harazika by performing on the song ‘Ganga Bahtee He Kyon ?’ The zeal of the students filled the atmosphere with patriotism. The concert came to an end with students singing the original version of the National Anthem. The presence of Chairman of Bright School Shri Jayendrabhai Shah, Managing Trustee Shri Simit Shah and Jt. Managing Trustee Saumil Shah encouraged the students.

| ANNUAL SPORTS MEET IN BRIGHT : |
Bright Day School, CBSE Unit – Harni celebrated Annual Sports Meet on 24th January 2012. Students participated in various sports events like Running Race, Three Legged Race, Skipping Race, Relay Race etc. Students’ cheers filled the atmosphere with sportsmanship. The managing trustee Shri Simit Shah honoured the winners.

| Republic Day Celebration at Bright : |
63rd Republic Day was celebrated with great fervour by Bright Day School. Group Captain Mr. A. L. Massand graced the occasion and unfurled the National Flag. The students of NCC, Scouts & Guides, Air Wing performed the March Past. Students performed various drills with Dumbells, Lazium, Wand etc. The affirmative, enduring and energizing values filled the air with patriotism.

| TEACHERS ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMMES: |
- A Science Workshop “Mapping Science with CCE” was organized by Oxford University Press at Bright Day School CBSE Unit, Harni Road, Vadodara on 28.01.2012. The resource persons were Ms. Neela Ghosh & Ms. Champa Banerjee. It was attended by the teachers teaching in secondary & primary sections from Bright Day School and Schools around Vadodara. This workshop enhanced knowledge regarding the methodology of teaching science.
- A workshop ‘Win Win Teacher’ for teachers was conducted by Scholastic at Vasna unit on 28.01.2012. The resource person was Mrs. Harindra Kaur. The teachers from all the units of Bright day School were present. The workshop threw light on ‘Class Management Techniques & Teaching Process’.
