SOF- International Maths Olympiad 2022-23
Parv Agrawal of Class – VIII achieved International and Zonal Rank – 1 in the Science Olympiad Foundation International Maths Olympiad Exam conducted during the year 2022-2023. He is awarded a certificate of recognition of his performance excellence at International Level by Hon’ble Mrs Rekha Palli - Judge, Delhi High Court in presence of Hon’ble Justice Mr. Dipak Misra – Former Chief Justice, Supreme Court of India and Founder and director. He also received a cheque of Rs.12500 for the same.
Science Olympiad Foundation 2022-23
Saumya Trivedi, studying in Class X-E has received the Academic Excellence Scholarship Award from SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) for the outstanding performance in class 9th for participation in all the Olympiads for the year 2022-23. He is the only recipient of this award in the GUJARAT/DAMAN AND DIU/DADRA AND NAGAR HAVELI ZONE. He has received a trophy, citation and a cheque for Rs.5000/- for the same.
G-20 NavVachanam
Navrachana School, Sama had organized G20 summit in association with Y20 (Youth wing of G20) on 1st and 2nd May,2023. Around sixteen reputed schools from Vadodara district participated for the same and we feel proud to share that eight students of our school were a part of it. The following students won appreciable awards.
Kavya Goswami (XII Science) won the best research associate and the best Declaration award.
Anushree Gandhi (XII Humanities) won as the best Research Associate.
Pranjal Jha XII (Commerce) bagged the best Speaker Award.
Tiya Agarwal (X C) and Saumya Trivedi (XE) received the best Declaration Award.
Aangi Shah and Shubham Mutha (XII Commerce) received the participation certificate.
18th Foundation Day - 16th April 2023
The magnificent journey of Bright that completed 18 glorious years, originated from the seed of resolution and determination to an ever blooming tree of laurels. In light of the occasion, a special assembly was conducted on 17th April, 2023 by the students which included a street play showing the journey of Bright from the beginning till now. Through the play, they also expressed their gratitude to the teachers, Heads and the Principal. An energetic performance (a combination of song, dance and beats) was also enjoyed by the students which motivated them that nothing is impossible. This was followed by a pleasant address by the Principal, Sir Bhavik Parekh briefing about the journey and the laurels of the school.
The program was concluded with the melodious tunes of the school song by all the students.
World Heritage Day - 18th April 2023
“Heritage is a legacy, what we live today, what we will pass to the coming generations.” To raise the awareness about the diversity of our cultural heritage ‘World Heritage Day’ was celebrated on 18th April, 2023. Various activities were conducted to know its importance.

World Book Day - 23rd April 2023
“Books are uniquely portable magic.”
World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day was celebrated on 24th April, 2023. Students enjoyed the day by doing various activities during the school hours.
Students recreated enthralling stories from the main course book without changing the main character. A beautiful character meet and greet was done by the students. It was fun to read when Tenali Raman met Shikari Shambhu. Student enthusiastically decorated the class bulletin boards with the write ups, cover pages of various books written by the eminent authors. The literary skills were showcased in the diary entry written by students about their favourite author praising his/her books.
Our senior young poets converted their favourite short stories into poems and demonstrated their poetic skills. Our senior young students promoted the book they like the most by creating amazing advertisements for it.
Gujarat Day – 1st May 2023
To rejoice the formation of Gujarat state, we celebrate the Sthapana Day or Gujarat Day on May 1st. A special assembly was conducted which included the melodious song ‘Jai Jai Garvi Gujarat’ praising the rich heritage and culture of the state.
International Yoga Day - 21st June 2023
An invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition, Yoga has emerged as one of the most trusted means for physical and mental well being.
To infuse holistic health revolution among our students, International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2023.During the school assembly, students exhibited Artistic Yoga postures and also performed sitting and standing asanas. Benefits of these were explained simultaneously by the Yoga Teacher.
Students of classes 1 to 5 performed various asanas and Pranayam which included Anulomvilom, Kapalbhati, Bhramari etc.They also shared the importance of Yoga Day. Students of class 6 and 7 showcased their creative side by drawing and pasting the asanas and listed its importance.
To promote good health, class 8 and 9 students made healthy salad and also highlighted its nutritional value. Students of class 10 made a poster and wrote an essay on the topic ' Yoga for Humanity'. Meditation was done by students of classes 11 and 12. Meditation techniques were suggested to students which improve memory skills and helps in concentration.
The theme ' Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' was justified.
Guru Poornima and Founder’s Day – 3rd July 2023
A Guru is a person who teaches and sheds light, knowledge and directs us to lead in the right, enlightened path and share their wisdom. Brightians felt the heavenly/ecstatic bliss of celebrating Guru Poornima which happened to fall on the Founder’s day of the Bright group of schools. The founder of Bright Group of schools, Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah left for heavenly abode on July 3,2021. Sir is a Guru for every Brightian and has touched countless lives in his lifetime. Sir was an epitome of perseverance, devotion, determination and wisdom, a personality full of courage and enthusiasm. To commemorate the day and celebrate Guru Poornima on July 1st, 2023,all the brightians fondly remembered Sir by drawing sketches, penned down their feelings through beautiful poems. A special assembly was performed by the students made us feel the presence of Sir in all of us through his ideals. A prayer meet for all the teachers was also held.
Earth Day
To exhibit support for the well-being of the Earth, students of class 3 to 5 conducted the various activities to cater 3R’s….
Recycled old boxes (waste) into a new pen stand and piggy bank. Played a Recycled game to identify whether the object can be recycled or not. Creatively drew and wrote on how to keep the earth clean and green. Research on recycle biodegradable products available in the market and their uses.
Research on Methods of making organic pesticides at home to reduce use of chemicals and protect plants.
Scholastic Book Fair
“A book is a gift you can open again and again.”
Scholastic book fair was held on 27th, 28thand 29th of April in the school premises. It was inaugurated by the President of Bright Group of schools, Sir Shri Saumil Shah. The books of all the genres were displayed for purchasing. All the students keenly visited the book fair. Parents were also delighted to see the grand feast of books.
Student Council Election – 30th June, 2023
‘By voting we add voice to the chorus that forms opinions and basis for actions.’ Student Council Election was held on 30th June wherein the students from class VI to XII casted their votes through electronic voting.

Investiture Ceremony - 8th July 2023
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2023-24 was held on 8th July, 2023. The Chief Guest for the event was, Shri Rajendra Chauhan(P.I. of J.P. Police Station ) The event was also graced by the President of Bright group of schools, Sir Shri Saumil Shah. The students proudly accepted the sashes and the badges and took oath to take care of the new responsibilities with utmost dedication in the presence of the chief guest, president and the principals of CBSE and GSEB units.
Orientation for Parents
Orientation for the parents of classes VI, IX and X was conducted on 28th and 29th April, 2023. The principal, Sir Bhavik Parekh oriented the parents about the scheme of studies and evaluation system implemented by the school.
Navrachana University
In the course time, technology has taken a distinct place and changed the face of the world. On 26th April 2023 students of grade XI and XII (Science) visited Navrachana University as a part of field trip. The main objective behind the visit was to acquire knowledge in the field of Robotics and Artificial intelligence which has proven as a successful teaching method. Also the students can pick up careers in Artificial intelligence hence equipping themselves with right information and perspective. The practical use and benefits has been addressed with indication that the approach goes beyond achievements in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).
M. S. University
As a part of career fest, students of 11th & 12th – Humanities group were given an opportunity by the school for an ‘Educational Field Trip’ to Department Of Psychology, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara. The students were given a detail tour of the campus, presentations were made by various Heads of the departments of different programs/courses and they were oriented about various career opportunities available in their respective professional fields.
Axis Bank
An educational field trip was organised for class XI Commerce to the Axis Bank on 24th and 25th July 2023. The students were briefed about the field of banking and transactions by the Branch Head. He cleared the doubts of students on different types of accounts, market lending ratio and criteria. The session was very interactive and informative.
Career Guidance Programme – 26th June 2023
As a part of Career Guidance Programme, the school had organised for a career talk for the students of Grade XI and XII (Commerce) to pursue their career as a Chartered Accountant fon 26th June, 2023. The esteemed resource person for the programme was a renowned Chartered Accountant of Vadodara – Ms. Kejal Vyas. Madam Kejal highlighted on the time duration to pursue the course. She also gave a remarkable insight on the content to be studied and the skills required to be honed to become an efficient Chartered Accountant. She also briefed about the job profile of a Chartered Accountant. The career talk was concluded with an interactive session of the students with the resource person.
Motivational Talk - 25th & 26th July 2023
A motivational talk was organised in the school for the students of class V,VII and VIII on 25th and 26th July 2023. The resource person was Mr.Sajan Shah who is a young, energetic motivational speaker. His main focus was to develop student’s memory power and concentration. He also shared various techniques to boost their focus and confidence.
A webinar was organised for the teachers of Grade 1 to 12 on the topic Inclusive education on 24th April 2023. The eminent speakers for the workshop were Dr. Sandhya Kulkarni, Ms. Madhura Joshi, Ms. Kern Rebello and Dr. Hilla Sookhadwala.
