Zia Vagdoda of Std.V B and Tanya Gupta of IV A received a trophy in dance competition organised by "Body Rock Dance Company" conducted from 20/04/2023 to 10/06/2023.
1st Indo Nepal KARATE Open Championship 2023
Spruha Joglekar of Std.VI C achieved First position (gold medal) in Kumite and bronze medal in Kata event organised by 1st Indo Nepal KARATE Open Championship 2023 held at Swarnabharathi Indoor Stadium, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh from 26th to 28th May 2023 and was awarded as the best fighter by Shitoryu Karate Do Association of India.
2nd LEGEND’S KARATE DOJO CHAMPIONSHIP-2023
Harshita Chitte of Std III A got 3rd position in Kumite (Bronze Medal) and 2nd place in Kata(Silver Medal) in the 2nd LEGEND’S KARATE DOJO CHAMPIONSHIP-2023 on 25th June at Sama Indoor Sports Complex, Vadodara organised by WADO-RYU KARATE DO VADODARA DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP-2023.

Swarit Kale of Std.II E received award (Dancing Star) for participating in 'The Ultimate Dance Show held on 17th June 2023 by Aakash Kansara's Dancepiration Studio.

Vrinda Shah of Std.V C acquired 1st Position (gold medal) in both Maths and Science Olympiad organised by SILVERZONE FOUNDATION NEW DELHI.

Earth Day 22.04.2023
Everyday Earth Day!
The Young denizens of the modern world were sensitized to be the green champions and safeguard their planet by adopting the best practices during the Earth Day celebration. Brightians celebrated "World Earth Day" to call attention to some of our environmental problems and to spread awareness about conserving Earth. Students made paper bags, wind chimes, charts on save earth, save water and save electricity.
These activities marked a lifelong learning experience for the students which they enjoyed throughly…!!
International Dance Day - 29.04.2023
International Dance Day is celebrated on 29th April every year to recognize the art of dance and its cultural importance around the world. There are more than 28 dance forms in the world. Dance is used as a therapy to reduce stress, improve physical and mental health. It is a perfect day to put on your dance shoes and become a part of the celebration.
Brightians celebrated this special day by dancing to the mashup songs; girls looked beautiful in Bharatnatyam dresses and performed classical dance. The ambience looked amazing with the audience rocking in colourful attire. This was all possible with the support of our Management and the valuable guidance of our Principal Ma'am Shobha Rajpurohit and Vice Principal Ma'am Jigna Shah.
Gujarat Day - 01.05.2023

Gujarat Day is observed on 1st May every year to mark the foundation day of Gujarat State which was established on 1st May 1960, after the State Reorganization Act was passed by the Indian Government. Brightians celebrated 'Gujarat Day' by doing various activities of its rich and diverse culture.
Students came to know about the culture of Gujarat, famous food, places, personalities, tourist places & many more..!!
World Environment Day - 05.06.2023
“Environment is a gift to us, save and secure it”
Students were made aware that ‘EVERY DAY IS AN ENVIRONMENT DAY’ and the purpose of celebrating Environment Day is to keep our grass green and our skies blue with more trees and less pollution.
With an objective to encourage general awareness and action for the environment Brightians celebrated World Environment Day by varied activities. Colourful charts, paintings were displayed at the school foyer depicting concern about the environment and the way to tackle the problem of pollution and global warming by planting more trees every year.
Our Chairman Dr Smit Shah, Managing Director Ms Swara Shah and Staff also participated by planting saplings.
This endeavor aimed at committing to work together to build a safer, more prosperous and equitable world for all and to ensure environmental sustainability was a resounding success.

What a serene and invigorating morning it was as our learners and educators gathered to commemorate International Yoga Day and Music Day..!
Bright School has conducted yoga with the theme "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" to spread consciousness about yoga practice. This day is celebrated to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga to release stress and nurturing positive emotions. Yoga improves strength and flexibility. This is an old practice which originated in India. This yoga practice includes many physical exercises such as breathing, postures, and exercises such as meditation or dhyan yog. It brings balance in life

FOUNDER’S DAY - 01.07.2023
Bright School CBSE Karelibaug celebrated Guru Purnima and Founder’s Day on 3rd July 2023; to pay tribute to our beloved Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah who institutionalised Bright School in 1973 with just 33 students. Today Bright School is spread across 5 units with more than 17000 students and more than 1000 teaching and non-teaching staff. This could become possible because of the deep vision of Sir. He believed in keeping pace with the fast-growing education and world. He was an educator, motivator, facilitator, powerful coach, and a true leader. He used his experiences to help many young leaders in the field of education and motivated his employees to give their best. He was also an author and a poet. He composed many gazals in Hindi and Gujarati. Apart from Bright School, Sir played a key role as an advisor, president, and trustee in many educational institutes at the city and state level. He has rendered his services to many social, banking, medical and religious organizations in the city.
Sir Jayendrabhai Shah was the only person selected from Gujarat to be honoured and awarded by the Independent Schools’ Federation of India for his distinguished services for more than 4 decades in the field of Education. He was also felicitated and honoured by Divya Bhaskar for his long contribution to the society in the field of education.
Sir was a man of great stature, an icon and a torchbearer of the Bright Family. He left his mark not only in our minds but also our hearts. Though he is no longer among us, we shall forever cherish his memory, try our best to abide by his principles and live up to his expectations.

GURU PURNIMA - 06.07.2023
Students of Std. V-VII paid respect to their Gurus and thanked them by presenting a short programme on 8 July 2023. Brightians paying tribute to the founder of the school, Sir Shri Jayendrabhai Shah. Students express their gratitude to our beloved teachers with different performances. Bright School had an incredible day filled with vibrant dance performances, soulful shloka recitations on the auspicious day of Guru Punima.
Witness the talent of our students as they beautifully displayed their skills in dance, Nukkad Natak and paid tribute to their gurus. The echoes of their melodious shloka recitations filled the air with positivity and reverence.

Debate Competition - 30.06.2023 (Std. VI)
TOPIC : Technology Makes Children's Life Better
Communication is a fundamental need for human beings to sustain in the world. It plays a major role in developing the overall personality or to make a person successful. Bright School CBSE Unit Karelibaug organized Debate for Std 6 with an aim to give an opportunity to the students to express themselves infront of others and enhance their confidence by removing their stage fear. A semi-final round was conducted in the class and house wise two students were selected from each class- one for and one against the motion. Many parents came to see the performance of their children as well.
NEWS READING COMPETITION - 30.06.2023 (Std. VII)
Young Brightian of Std 7th actively took part in News Reading Competition. The budding newsreaders read entertainment news. The objective of the competition was to encourage children to improve their reading skills and enhance general awareness. It also gives them the feel of the world of media and journalism. In this competition, young minds proved their talent in pronunciation, clarity, fluency and exhibited their confidence. The competition will allow Learners to explore and enjoy a wide range of literacy content, practice reading, compete with peers and develop a habit of reading. The competition will also help them to find their hidden potential and build their communication skills. Children participated earnestly in the competition. All the participants were congratulated for their cheerful delivery of news and the winners were wished for their striking performance. Their efforts and initiatives were appreciated by one and all.
Oration Competition - 01.07.2023 (Std. IV & V)
Oratory skills play and important role in enhancing the personal and professional success of individual. They are fluency and speaking skills of an individual. To provide a platform to the students to improve their oratory skills Bright School CBSE Unit Karelibaug organised the Oration Competition on 1st July, 2023 for std. 4 & 5. Its aim was to help to make the students confident, expressive and to remove their stage fear.
Story Telling Competition - 01.07.2023 (Std. III)
Story telling competition was held on 01.07.2023 for Std 3 at Bright School Karelibaug CBSE Unit. Each child had come up with a different interesting story and great moral. They all prepared nice props for the purpose. The parents also took great efforts to prepare their children. All the children had participated with great enthusiasm and zeal. They gave an enchanting performance.
Hand Writing Competition - 01.07.2023 (Std. I & II)
An intraschool English Handwriting Competition for class I and II was organized on 1st of July 2023, Saturday. The competition was organized in the respective classrooms and students noted down the paragraph written on the black board. Handwriting is a part of our identity and an essential tool for communication. The objective of this competition was to encourage students to improve their calligraphy skills. Handwriting is an essential skill for students. It is an incredibly important exercise for students to encourage them to develop fine motor skills and confidence. It activates the brain and contributes to reading fluency. It provided students with an opportunity to display their competency of writing legibly and neatly. The response of the students was very encouraging. The students put their best foot forward to enhance the writing skills. Finally, the students were appreciated for their work.
Student Union Election - 20.06.2023 (Std. V & VII)
The Student Union Election for the year 2023-2024 was held in the premises of Bright School CBSE Unit - Karelibaug under the guidance of our Principal Ma’am Shobha Rajpurohit, Vice Principal Ma’am Jigna Shah and Incharge Ma’am Sangita D'Cruz on 20 June 2023. Students of Std V to VII actively participated in the election process for electing students for the posts of Head Boy, Head Girl and House Captains. Nomination forms were provided to the students of Std VI and Std VII. Computerized voting was conducted. Students casted their votes as and when they received an identification mark on their index finger as a sign of participation. Finally, the votes were counted and the names of the winners were announced. Our Chairman Dr Simit Shah and Director Ms Swara Shah congratulated all the winners.
Investiture Ceremony - 27.06.2023
Investiture Ceremony was organized at Bright School CBSE Unit Karelibaug on 27.06.2023. The Chairman of Bright School, Dr Simit Shah and the Director of the school Ma'am Swara Shah conferred the newly elected Student Union Leaders with badges and sashes. The students pledged to work hard with determination. It was a proud moment for all the parents to witness their children being invested with great responsibilities while embarking on a new journey as leaders. Ma'am Shobha Rajpurohit (Principal), Ma'am Jigna Shah (Vice Principal) and Ma'am Sangita D'Cruz (Incharge) motivated the students to fulfill their new responsibilities with great determination.
Memory Game - 28.04.2023 (Std. I & II)
Memory Game activity was held on 28.4.23 for Std 1 and 2 in first two periods. All the children participated with enthusiasm. In Std 1 - 20 objects and in Std 2 - 25 objects were shown with names. The children had recalled and wrote the spelling of objects in combination notebook. Through this activity children develop eye- coordination and concentration skills.
At last winners were rewarded with colorful books.
What's the Good Word? - 28.04.2023 (Std III to V)
What’s the Good Word? Activity was conducted for class III to V on 28th April 2023. This activity was conducted house – wise in all the classes. The main objective of this activity was to improve their language skills and also to inculcate the value and importance of team work. There were 4 / 6 different rounds in which different question were asked to each house. Score board was maintained on blackboard. The results were announced by the class teacher. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed their language skills.
Science Activity - 28.04.2023 (Std VI & VII)
On 28.04.23 Science Activity was conducted for Std VI &VII. The objectives of conducting science activities was to promote interest in science and technology and engages students in learning new facts and inventions.
Different science activities conducted by students were: Law of resonance, Solar energy, Digestive system, Projector, Pressure fountain, Test of carbohydrate, starch etc. Young scientist of Bright School CBSE Unit enjoyed performing various experiments. The students learn to apply the knowledge and information collected through various sources.
Good Touch and Bad Touch - Std I to VII
A session was conducted on Good Touch and Bad Touch for Std I to VII. A video was shown related to it. The teachers explained them about the same. It was conducted separately for boys and girls. The children learnt to identify the "NO Touch " areas and understood that who are safe adults and whom to report when there is an alarming situation. The motto of the session was to enlighten the children that their body belongs to them and they need to stay safe and secure.
Manuscript - Std. VI & VII
Live, Learn and Explore
"History belongs to the past, but understanding it is a duty of the present."
*A manuscript is a handwritten document especially a writer's first version of a book before it is published.
*Scribes are people who write copies of documents especially before printing is invented.
* Std. VI students enjoyed making beautiful Manuscripts; whereas Std.VII students copied down and noted the information about in which period those Manuscripts were written.
The activities are not only directed at preserving our heritage (as found in manuscripts) but also to make it meaningful to the present and the future. The involvement of youth, thus, becomes important. Introducing manuscripts to the students was the purpose to generate their interest in our heritage and as well as how people in the past made hand-made records by using leaves as well as the bark of trees.
