Vriha Pandya & Arnavi Chaturvedi of Std. IV bagged a Bronze medal & a certificate for securing the 3rd position in 21st All India Shitoryu Karate Championship.
Dev Parmar of Std. X B bagged a Gold & Bronze medal, Hitarth Soni of Std. IV bagged a Bronze Medal in Sub junior cadet & Junior Karate Championship at State Level & qualified for the National Level & Akshat Modi of Std. IX C bagged a Gold medal in Karate at the State level and is selected for the National Level organized by Karate Do Federation Gujarat.
Naisha Desai of Std. X G bagged the Silver Medal in 4x100 m medlay relay, Bronze medal in 50 m, 100 m backstroke, 200 m free style relay & 4x100 m relay each in Khel Mahakumbh 3.0 at the State Level.

World Heritage Day
World Heritage Day is celebrated on 18th April every year. It is observed throughout the world with a view to create awareness about preserving and promoting cultural and natural heritage. The theme for World Heritage Day 2025 is "Heritage under Threat from Disasters and Conflicts: Preparedness and Learning from 60 Years of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites) Actions”.
Heritage Day was celebrated with great grandeur. Brightians were briefed about its importance in the morning assembly. The school's music teacher Mr Rajiv Dashputre sang a soulful song in praise of our country and its heritage. Class teachers explained the importance of heritage and shared interesting information about Indian heritage. As part of the celebration Brightians were encouraged to make three dimensional 'no cost' and 'low cost' musical instruments like dholak, harmonium, sitar, tabla, bansuri etc. Brightians participated enthusiastically and made visually appealing instruments. Their knowledge, skill, effort and involvement were evident in their work. There was a grand display of students' work. Pictures of famous Indian musicians like E.S. Shastri, Hariprasad Chaurasia, Zakir Hussain, Lata Mangeshkar etc. and musical instruments like Manjira, Jal Tarang, Sitar, Veena, Ektara, Tabla, Dholak etc. were also displayed.
World Earth Day
World Earth Day is an annual event held on April 22, to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It was first observed in 1970 and has since grown into a global movement. World Earth Day has played a crucial role in raising awareness about environmental issues, inspiring policy changes and promoting sustainable practices. The theme for 2025 is ‘Our Power, Our Planet'.
Brightians observed World Earth Day by participating in various activities that raised their understanding about how individual and collective actions can contribute to a healthier and a more sustainable planet. The significance of World Earth Day was shared during the morning assembly. Brightians made paper bags, wallets and photo-frames from waste paper and painted posters which reinforced their understanding about employing best practices to safeguard our Earth from destruction. The teachers created awareness about environmental issues and advocated lifestyle changes such as reducing carbon footprint, conserving water and energy, planting trees, stopping the use of plastics and practising the 4Rs – refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle. Students’ work was exhibited on display boards. Let us all pledge to create awareness and make our planet sustainable!.
Gujarat Day
Gujarat Day is celebrated on 1st May every year. It marks the day on which the state of Gujarat was founded in the year 1960. Gujarat Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion; where students and teachers came together to honour the heritage and achievements of Gujarat.
The celebration began with the morning assembly, where a heartfelt speech was delivered highlighting the history, rich culture and development of Gujarat. The students resonated with pride as they learned about the state's glorious journey and its contributions to the nation. A melodious song 'જય જય ગરવી ગુજરાત...' dedicated to Gujarat was sung, filling the atmosphere with a sense of unity and cultural pride.
Teachers played an essential role in enriching students' knowledge by sharing interesting facts about Gujarat’s heritage, culture, personalities and achievements. Brightians actively engaged in creative activities, making drawings and posters of monuments, historical figures and festivals. Brightians also wrote slogans and their name in Gujarati, showcasing their linguistic skill. To deepen their understanding, students wrote essays on various aspects of Gujarat, including tourist destinations, heritage, culture, festivals and the state’s development.
Adding an element of fun and learning, a spin-wheel activity was organized, where students matched places of Gujarat with their famous cuisines, making the experience enjoyable and educational. Their enthusiasm was evident as they participated whole-heartedly, making the celebration a vibrant and memorable event. The celebration was a wonderful opportunity for students to connect with their roots, express their love for their state and appreciate its rich legacy. It was a day filled with joy, learning and cultural pride; leaving a lasting impression on Brightians.
An Orientation Session for the parents of Std I was organized to welcome parents into the new academic session with enthusiasm and clarity. The event began with a warm welcome by the Incharge of primary section- Ms. Neha Davesar. The school Principal- Ms. Neeta Sharma highlighted the school’s vision, teaching methodologies and the importance of a strong parent-teacher collaboration. She shared insights on NEP 2020, the curriculum, assessment pattern, co-curricular activities and the school policies. The parents actively participated in the interactive session, wherein their queries were addressed, ensuring a smooth transition of their child to Std I. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone excited and prepared for the year ahead! The parents profusely thanked the management for arranging orientation session for parents. We look forward to an amazing year filled with learning, growth and joyful experiences of Brightians!.

Safety First!
The School successfully conducted an Evacuation Mock Drill for Brightians. The drill was organized to educate and train students on how to respond swiftly and calmly in case of an emergency.
Under the guidance of trained fire and safety professionals and teachers, students practiced evacuation procedure and were briefed about the basic fire safety rules. The mock drill was carried out efficiently, ensuring that every student participated and understood the importance of disaster preparedness.
We are proud of our students for responding with seriousness and discipline, the teachers and the fire safety officials for making this drill a success. A big thank you to the Bright Management for arranging the drill for Brightians.
Bright Day School in association with CBSE–COE Ajmer organized an insightful training session for educators on ‘Promoting Mental Health among Students’ on 5th May 2025, aiming to equip teachers with essential strategies to foster a supportive and healthy learning environment for students.
The Resource persons were Mrs Leena Nair and Mrs Anuradha Kacker. Their deep expertise provided an invaluable perspective on addressing students’ mental health challenges.
A total of 65 teachers from the school participated in the session, which was honoured by the esteemed presence of the Principal Ms Neeta Sharma, Head of Bright Day School, alongside other school heads. The training focused on identifying and understanding mental health issues commonly faced by students, including anxiety, stress and depression, while emphasizing the vital role of educators and school counsellors in supporting students. Key discussions included strategies for self-care and stress management for both students and educators, types of disorders and ways to overcome them, the importance of support services in promoting mental health and tips to help students practice mindfulness successfully. The importance of school-based mental health service programs was highlighted, underscoring their role in fostering students' emotional well-being and academic success. Educators were guided through a step-by-step approach to establishing these programs, including effective strategies for implementation, key resources, and the collaborative role of teachers, counsellors and administrators in creating a supportive framework.
All concepts were covered through interactive case studies and activities, enabling a comprehensive understanding of this sensitive yet highly relevant topic. The resource persons articulated each subject with clarity and depth, making the sessions both enlightening and enriching. Educators left with valuable takeaways, inspired to implement these practices within their classrooms to support students' emotional and psychological well-being.
This initiative reaffirmed the Management’s commitment to holistic education and the well-being of its students, ensuring that educators are empowered with the right knowledge and skills to nurture a mentally healthy learning environment.
