Foundation Day
Celebrating 21 Years of Light, Learning & Legacy
Today, Bright Day School completes 21 years of its journey — a journey that began with a dream, grew with dedication, and flourishes because of the stakeholders. On this 22nd Foundation Day, we first pause to remember and pay tribute to our visionary Founder, Sir Shri Jayendra bhai Shah, who laid the first brick of this institution in 2005. His values of compassion, excellence, and integrity remain the compass that guides every classroom, every assembly, every decision we make. We continue to walk the path he lit for us, and we carry that light forward with pride.
Today, the Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride. The students presented the journey of the school's progress from the growth and achievements. The cultural segment highlighted a melodious motivational group song and a vibrant dance. The performances met with resounding applause. The celebration concluded with an inspiring speech by the Principal. He emphasized on the values we stand on every day.
As we step into our 22nd year, we recommit to our Founder’s dream and expectations — to nurture minds that question, hearts that care, and spirits that dare. Happy 22nd Foundation Day to all of us. May we keep making every day a bright day, together.
World Heritage Day
Our school proudly participated in the Heritage Day celebration with great enthusiasm and creativity. Students engaged in a series of meaningful activities to explore and appreciate our rich cultural heritage.
- Monument Heritage Activity:
- Students researched famous monuments, with special focus on UNESCO World Heritage Sites, highlighting their historical importance and unique features.
- Art & Painting Heritage Activity:
- Students beautifully showcased traditional art forms like Warli, Ajanta, Madhubani, and Ajrak art through creative paintings, along with information about their origin and significance.
- Veda & Purana Heritage Activity:
- Students presented information about various Vedas and Puranas, supported with pictures and detailed insights into ancient knowledge and traditions.
- Heritage Map of Baroda:
- A special highlight was designing a heritage map of Vadodara, where students identified local heritage sites, analyzed their current conditions, and suggested measures for their preservation.
As a part of Heritage Club Activity,the members visited Arboretum 'Living tree Museum ' part of M.S.University. The information about the floral plants, medicinal plants, rare fruits and flowers was quite vibrant and captivating. Students also planted ' Mitho' Guggal- one of the rarest and endangered species of plants. Students were able to contribute to the nature through plantation.
The celebration was a wonderful blend of learning and creativity, inspiring students to value and protect our cultural legacy.
Earth Day
The students of Grade 6 and 10 conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Earth Day to promote awareness about environmental conservation. The assembly began with a brief introduction highlighting the importance of protecting our planet.
A short and meaningful skit was performed by the students, showcasing the impact of human activities on nature and the need for sustainable practices. The performance effectively conveyed a strong message about caring for the Earth. The assembly concluded with a pledge, where all students promised to contribute towards saving the environment by adopting eco-friendly habits in their daily lives. The program was informative and inspiring, encouraging everyone to take small steps towards a greener and healthier planet.
Panchayati Raj Day Celebration
Students of class IX conducted a meaningful assembly on Panchayati Raj on account of National Panchayati Raj Day, beginning with an inspiring thought on democracy. This was followed by an informative article highlighting the importance of local self-governance. The highlight of the assembly was a short skit on a Gram Sabha, showcasing how villagers solve problems through participation and voting. The assembly effectively emphasized the value of democratic involvement at the grassroots level.
World Book Day
Bright Day School, CBSE organized a series of engaging literary activities across grades to promote creativity, reading habits, and critical thinking among students as a part of World Book Day Celebration.
- Class 6 students participated in a Story Review activity, where they shared their understanding and opinions about stories they had read.
- Class 7 students selected a character from a story book, described their traits in detail, and conducted an interactive quiz in class, making the session lively and informative.
- Class 8 students showcased their creativity through a Pictorial Presentation of Proverbs, illustrating meanings and framing sentences to enhance comprehension.
- Grade 9 students explored their imagination in the Creative Writing Corner by writing on topics like “If I Were a Character in a Book” and rewriting the ending of their favourite story.
- Grade 10 students took part in a Bookmark Making Competition, designing eco-friendly bookmarks with creative quotes and illustrations. They also displayed artistic skills in a Book Cover Design Activity, reimagining covers of classic books.
A special assembly was also conducted wherein class 8 students enacted a skit on Tenali Rama and class 6 students exhibited Character Parade. Scholastic Book Fair was also organised for the students. These activities encouraged students to express themselves creatively while deepening their appreciation for literature.
Gujarat Day
Bright Day School conducted a thoughtful and vibrant assembly on the occasion of Gujarat Day, celebrated on 1st May. The assembly highlighted the remarkable contributions of eminent personalities of Gujarat who have excelled in various fields, including Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Anandiben Patel, K. M. Munshi, Dhirubhai Ambani, Mirabai, Azim Premji, Sayajirao Gaekwad, and the school’s respected founder, Shri Jayendra Shah Sir.
The celebration was further enriched with a graceful Garba performance, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and traditions of Gujarat. A powerful monologue titled “Main Gujarat Hoon” was also presented by Ms. Rashmi Sharma (Maths teacher), beautifully expressing the pride and spirit of the state. The assembly aimed to instill a sense of patriotism among students and encourage them to appreciate and preserve the cultural values and traditions of Gujarat. The event was engaging, meaningful, and well-received by all.
International Yoga Day
12th International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Bright Day School, CBSE, Vasna on 20th June 2026. The theme for this year was ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’ with emphasis on wellness, wisdom, and world peace. All the students of Class VI and teachers assembled in the school assembly area at 7:30 a.m. De. The NCC students performed yoga in the Dance Hall. The session was conducted by our yoga teacher, Ms. Aarchi.
The assembly began with a thought and a sharing session on the importance of yoga in one’s life. This was followed by a prayer.
- Activities Conducted
- Warm-up: Students began with high knees to energize the body.
- Standing Asanas: Tadasana, Trikonasana, Hastottanasana, and Side Bending were performed under the guidance of the yoga teacher.
- Sukshma Kriyas: Students enjoyed sitting exercises including neck, shoulder, and wrist rotations, Vajra Parvatasana, and Butterfly Pose.
The event concluded with Brahmari Pranayama and meditation for relaxation and focus.
Pledge & Conclusion
Everyone took a pledge to practice yoga daily and remain healthy and happy. The celebration helped students understand that yoga is not just an exercise but a way of
life, promoting physical fitness, mental peace, and holistic well-being.
Integrating Yoga with Sanskrit
On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the students of Bright Day School CBSE, Vasna, participated in a creative and student-centered Sanskrit Multiple Assessment (MA) activity titled “Sanskrit in Yoga.”
The activity beautifully integrated Sanskrit language learning with the cultural and practical aspects of yoga. Students explored various Sanskrit terms associated with yoga, including the names and meanings of different asanas, pranayama techniques, and yogic concepts. They presented their learning through interactive displays, charts, role-plays, and live demonstrations of yoga postures while explaining their significance in Sanskrit.
The activity provided an enriching platform for students to connect ancient Indian wisdom with modern-day wellness practices. It enhanced their vocabulary, pronunciation, communication skills, and understanding of the cultural relevance of Sanskrit in everyday life. Through active participation and collaborative learning, students gained a deeper appreciation for the language and its enduring connection with yoga and holistic well-being.
The event successfully promoted experiential learning, cultural awareness, and the spirit of Yoga Day, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable.
World Population Day
The students of Grade VI and grade IX at Bright Day School, CBSE Vasna observed World Population Day through a motivational skit and a thought-provoking street play during the morning assembly. Their powerful performance highlighted the challenges of rapid population growth and emphasized the importance of responsible citizenship and sustainable resource use. They took pledge for environmental conservation . The activity inspired the school community to reflect on building a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
The presentation also reflected the values of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly, SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 13: Climate Action.
The programme reinforced the importance of responsible choices, sustainable development, and collective action.
The event concluded with a meaningful message of building a healthier , more equitable , and sustainable future for all.
Inauguration of J R Shah Auditorium at J R Shah Memorial Building
The inauguration of the J R Shah Auditorium marks a significant milestone for Bright Day School. The auditorium was Inaugurated on 18th June 2026 by Chairman Shri Simit Shah and President Shri Saumil Shah of Bright Group of Schools, in the presence of the Shah Parivar, School Heads, and Teachers. The program commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony. The Chairman and the President jointly lit the inaugural lamp to mark the auspicious beginning, followed by a prayer dance presented by the students. The new auditorium is equipped to host cultural programs, academic events, seminars, and inter-school activities, further enriching the learning environment at Bright Day School.
Student Council Election
Bright Day School proudly announces the successful completion of the Student’s Council Election for the academic year 2026-27. The election process, held on 29th June’26 marked by enthusiastic participation and a commendable display of democratic values by the students. The student Council Election is a significant event in the school’s calendar providing student with a platform to voice their opinions, demonstrate leadership and actively participate in school governance. The election campaign was vibrant and included speeches and various promotional activities. Each candidate presented their vision and plans to improve the school environment and address student’s concern.
The voting process was conducted in a fair and transparent manner ensuring that every student from Std. VI onwards had the opportunity to participate. By the end of the day the results were also announced and new enthusiastic council member committee was formed. The school extends its heartfelt congratulations to all its elected members. A special thanks to our School President and Chief Election Commissioner Shri Saumil Shah, whose careful guidance helped in ensuring a smooth and fair election process.
Founder's Day Activities
To honour the visionary who built our foundation, the Bright Group of Schools observed Founder's Day with reverence and creativity Class 8 students led a special assembly dedicated to Sir Shri Jayendra Sir. They paid tribute by sharing his legacy . Students spoke about his role in nurturing Bright Group of schools. A heartfelt poem described him as a great visionary and educationist whose ideals still light our path.
- Students of classes 6 to 12 created sketches of Sir, penned original poems, and wrote articles reflecting on his contributions to education.
- Bulletin boards across the school were decorated with tributes, quotes, and memories.
- Students painted and wrote reflections, filling pages with respect and admiration.
Though Sir is not with us in person, his presence was felt in every corridor. Sketches, poems in notebooks, and articles on boards made it feel like his guidance still echoed through the school. At day’s end, teachers gathered for a solemn prayer meet. Together, we offered prayers and paid reverence to Jayendra Sir, reaffirming our commitment to carry his mission forward. His values remain our compass. His dream, our duty.
Investiture Ceremony
The Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27 was held with great zeal and dignity at Bright Day School. The program began with a Prayer Dance followed by a motivational song that set an inspiring tone for the day. The newly elected members of the Student Council from both CBSE and GSEB Units marched forward with pride to receive their badges and sashes.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Siddharth Rawat, Commanding Officer, 2 Gujarat Naval Unit NCC, Vadodara. He, along with Shri Saumil Shah, President of the school, and the Principals of both Units, conferred the badges and sashes to the council members. The newly inducted Student Council took a solemn pledge to carry out their duties with honesty, integrity, and diligence. In his address, the Chief Guest congratulated the young leaders and urged them to uphold honesty, discipline, and the spirit of leading by example. The ceremony concluded on a note of inspiration and responsibility.
Kaushal Bodh (Vocational Education): Kitchen Gardening Activities
Students of Bright Day School (Grade VI) enthusiastically participated in a series of Kaushal Bodh (Vocational Education) activities aimed at developing practical life skills and environmental awareness. They prepared plant nutrient charts, conducted a study of gardening tools, presented their Dream Kitchen Garden models, and classified plants according to different seasons, enhancing their understanding of sustainable gardening.
To further strengthen their learning, an interactive Kitchen Gardening session was conducted on 11 July by Mr. Hitarth Pandya. Through informative videos and engaging discussions, students learned about soil preparation, the step-by-step process of establishing a kitchen garden, compost making, and the preparation of natural home pesticides. The session inspired students to adopt eco-friendly gardening practices and fostered a sense of environmental responsibility through hands-on learning. SDGs Addressed: SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 13 – Climate Action, and SDG 15 – Life on Land.
Traffic Awareness Session
Bright Day School organized a Traffic Awareness Session for students on 10th of April, conducted by esteemed officials from the Traffic Contro Department. The session aimed to educate students of grade 10th about road safety, traffic rules, and responsible behaviour as future citizens. The session was led by key official ACP Shri D M Vyas, Traffic Branch (West ) and Traffic Official Sanjana ben, who provided valuable insights into various traffic codes, signals, and safety regulations. The officials explained the importance of following traffic rules to prevent accidents and ensure smooth transportation. It was a highly interactive session, where students actively participated and raised several questions to clarify their doubts regarding road safety, pedestrian rules, helmet usage, seat belts, and penalties for violations. The officials patiently addressed all queries, making the session engaging and informative.
A video presentation was also shown to enhance students’ understanding of real-life traffic situations and the consequences of negligence. This visual learning helped students connect theoretical knowledge with practical scenarios. The officials also informed students about the installation of surveillance cameras on roads and lanes, which help monitor traffic violations. They explained how challans (fines) are issued digitally when rules are broken, emphasizing accountability and discipline on the road.
At the end of the session, pamphlets containing traffic guidelines and safety measures were distributed among the students. The students took an oath to follow traffic rules and spread awareness in their communities. Overall, the session was informative, engaging, and impactful, encouraging students to become responsible and law-abiding citizens.

We were honored to host a truly enlightening career talk session at Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, featuring the esteemed Dr. Margeyi Mehta. As a dedicated Doctor, Healthcare Professional, and Medical Administrator, Dr. Mehta brought a wealth of interdisciplinary knowledge to our students. Her session went beyond the clinical aspects of medicine, offering a deep dive into the complex world of healthcare administration and the evolving landscape of the medical field. It was an incredible opportunity for our students to learn from a leader who balances patient care with systemic excellence. The Evolving Landscape of HR – Human Resources
We were thrilled to host an insightful Career Talk session at Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, featuring the esteemed Ms. Rashmi Kulkarni. The session delved into the Evolving Landscape of Human Resources, offering students a deep dive into how technology, emotional intelligence, and global trends are reshaping the professional world. From the rise of AI in recruitment to the growing importance of workplace culture and employee well-being, Ms. Kulkarni provided a roadmap for navigating the careers of tomorrow. It was an inspiring morning filled with curious questions and visionary ideas. A huge thank you to Ms. Kulkarni for sharing her expertise and empowering our students to think critically about their future paths!.
IPR Awareness Session
Students enrolled for Atal Lab actively participated in an Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness Session held on 29th April 2026. The session was conducted by Dr. Sujata Patil, Principal of the Law Program, School of Business, Navrachana University, Baroda. The session provided insightful knowledge on key aspects of intellectual property, including innovation, patents, Geographical Indications (GI), copyright, and trademarks. Students gained a clear understanding of the criteria for obtaining patents, the significance of trademark logos, and the process of designing and protecting original ideas. The speaker also encouraged students to think creatively and develop innovative products that can be legally protected.
The session concluded with an engaging quiz, where students enthusiastically participated and showcased their learning. All participants were awarded certificates under the Intellectual Property and Innovation Lab initiative, organized on the occasion of IP Day Celebration 2026–27. The session was highly informative and inspired students to value creativity, innovation, and the importance of protecting intellectual work.
Academic Orientation Sessions
Academic orientation sessions was conducted by the Principal for parents and students of Grades6, 9 and 10 to introduce the academic framework for the session 2026–2027. The Parent Orientation for Grade 10 was conducted on 24th April followed by grade 6 and 9 on 25th April. To further support students, special orientation sessions were held for Grade 10 on 30th April and for Grade 9 on 1st May.
The key focus of these sessions was to familiarize parents and students with the latest curriculum updates in Grade 9 and the revised assessment criteria for both Grades 9 and 10. Detailed insights were shared on the Scheme of Studies aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023, highlighting subject choices, competency-based learning, and evaluation patterns. The orientations aimed to ensure clarity, transparency, and collaboration between the school and parents, while equipping students with the right guidance to approach the academic year with confidence and preparedness. The sessions were highly informative and well-appreciated by all attendees.
Cyber Awareness Workshop
Our school successfully conducted an in-house Cyber Awareness Workshop for teachers, facilitated by Ms. Pallavi Chauhan and Ms. Saroj. The session aimed at enhancing digital safety awareness and equipping educators with essential knowledge to navigate the online world responsibly.
The workshop covered important topics such as :
- Types of online scams and common fraud techniques
- Warning signs to identify scams at an early stage
- Safe internet habits for everyday use
- Steps to take if one becomes a victim of cyber fraud
- Understanding scam mechanisms
- Importance of creating and storing strong passwords securely
- Correct methods of password protection
- Awareness about the national cybercrime helpline number 1930
In addition, government-issued cyber safety videos and “Be Alert” awareness clips were shared with teachers to provide practical guidance on staying safe online and accessing authentic information. The session was highly informative and empowered teachers to not only protect themselves but also guide students towards responsible digital behavior.
Value Education and professional ethics
Our school organized an insightful and engaging workshop on the topic Value Education and professional ethics conducted by Mr. Manish Kumar Purani. It focused how to implement values of life in the classroom through innovative and practical teaching approaches.
The session emphasized the integration of values through art-integrated learning and project-based learning, enabling teachers to make lessons more meaningful and experiential. Mr. Purani also highlighted the importance of addressing the hidden curriculum and demonstrated how values can be naturally embedded into everyday classroom practices.
During the workshop, teachers actively participated in a variety of hands-on activities, including :

Artificial Intelligence
A training session on the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classrooms was recently conducted at Bright Day School, Cbse Vasna.It was conducted by Ms Saroj Yadav & Ms Nikita Modi to equip teachers with modern teaching strategies and digital tools. The session focused on how AI can support lesson planning, create engaging learning materials, personalize student learning, and streamline assessments. Teachers gained hands-on experience with various AI tools and explored practical ways to integrate them into daily classroom activities. The training inspired educators to embrace technology and foster innovative, student-centered learning environments.
Maths Hub Session
A Maths Hub Session was conducted on 20 June 2026 at IIRA International School for 16 Mathematics teachers of Classes IX and X. The resource person was Ms.Rasmi Sharma. 16 teachers of 5 different schools attended the session The session aimed to familiarize teachers with the latest Class IX syllabus changes, address challenges faced by students in the Class X Board Examination, and introduce the effective use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in mathematics education.
The discussion highlighted key changes in the Class IX Mathematics syllabus, including simplified topics as per NEP 2020, the revised assessment pattern, and the significant weightage of Geometry and Algebra. Strategies for improving student performance in the Class X Board Examination were also shared, with emphasis on strengthening conceptual understanding, practicing competency-based questions, improving time management, and reducing mathematics anxiety through supportive teaching practices.
The session further introduced various AI tools such as ChatGPT, Photomath, Symbolab, Desmos, and GeoGebra. Teachers explored how these tools can support lesson planning, generate practice questions, provide feedback, and enhance mathematical visualization. The importance of using AI as a learning aid rather than a substitute for independent thinking and teacher guidance was emphasized.
Overall, the session provided valuable insights into curriculum updates, effective examination preparation strategies, and the responsible integration of AI in mathematics teaching. It encouraged teachers to adopt innovative approaches that promote deeper understanding and improved learning outcomes among students.
Science Hub Session
A “Science Hubs of Learning” session was organized on 20 June 2026 at Bright Day School, CBSE Unit, Vasna, for 16 Science teachers teaching Classes IX and X. The resource person was by Ms. Dipika Nirantar. The session focused on understanding the revised CBSE Class IX Science curriculum, enhancing preparation strategies for the Class X Board Examination, and exploring the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in science education. Teachers were briefed on the major changes introduced in the redesigned Class IX Science syllabus, which emphasizes competency-based learning, scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and the practical application of concepts in everyday life. The session also highlighted the introduction of the Advanced Science track aimed at nurturing analytical and problem-solving abilities among students. To support improved performance in the Class X Board Examination, various competency-based and application-oriented questions were discussed. Attention was drawn to common errors made by students, such as misinterpreting questions, missing important details, and ineffective time management during examinations. The session also showcased a range of AI-powered and digital tools that can enhance science teaching and learning. Teachers explored platforms such as ChatGPT, MagicSchool AI, Canva, Google Gemini, PhET Simulations, Quizizz, and Kahoot!, and discussed their applications in lesson planning, assessment, classroom engagement, and student support. The importance of balancing technological innovation with meaningful teacher guidance was also emphasized. Overall, the session served as a valuable platform for sharing curriculum updates, effective teaching practices, and emerging educational technologies.
